Size: 5 Gallon Pail

VP C12 is the original VP Racing fuel. It was the first fuel VP ever formulated, and it remains one of the most widely used race fuels in the world. Factory motocross teams running Honda, Kawasaki, and Yamaha relied on C12 before oxygenated fuels changed the rules. Pro Circuit still lists C12 as their reference fuel for two-stroke jetting specs. That kind of track record doesn't happen by accident.

Formulated for naturally aspirated engines with compression ratios up to 15:1, C12 covers approximately 75% of today's race engine builds. Its leaded, non-oxygenated chemistry delivers consistent, predictable combustion, which means your tune stays stable from session to session without chasing jetting changes caused by oxygenation variables.

Frequently Asked Questions

What compression ratio is VP C12 designed for? C12 is formulated for naturally aspirated engines with compression ratios up to 15:1, covering approximately 75% of today's race engine builds. If your combination exceeds 15:1 or runs significant boost, step up to C16 or another higher-octane VP fuel matched to your specific setup.

Is VP C12 good for two-stroke engines? Yes. C12 is one of the best all-around two-stroke fuels available. It works in vintage air-cooled two-strokes as well as modern engines. For built motors running high compression, C12 is the go-to. For stock or mildly modified two-strokes, a 50/50 mix with ethanol-free 93 pump gas is a common and effective approach.

Is VP C12 oxygenated? No. C12 is a non-oxygenated, leaded fuel. If you need an oxygenated two-stroke fuel for maximum power, look at VP's MR series. C12 is the choice when you want consistent, predictable combustion chemistry without the tuning complexity of oxygenated fuels.

Can VP C12 be mixed with pump gas? Yes. A 50/50 mix of C12 with ethanol-free 93 octane pump gas is a widely used approach, particularly for two-stroke applications. This yields an effective octane rating well above 100 while reducing cost per gallon.

Why is VP C12 green? The green color is VP's dye designation for C12, making it easy to identify in the pits and distinguish from other fuels in your lineup. It has no effect on fuel chemistry or performance.
