For most models covered by an All Thingz UTV tender spring upgrade, your compatible factory shocks already have the supporting components needed for the swap. You buy the correct tender spring kit and reuse the applicable parts from your existing shock assemblies.
A few Polaris applications need a different approach. For the RZR S 900, RZR S 1000, and General non-XP, we include the needed front spring spacers with the applicable kit at no extra charge. The 2017 RZR XP 1000 with its factory progressive-rate front springs needs an ATU Level Up kit instead of a tender-only front upgrade.
Most models already have the supporting parts
If your machine has the compatible factory dual-spring setup, a tender spring upgrade generally uses the existing main springs and supporting shock components. You do not normally need to buy a separate set of dividers or spacers just to replace the tender springs.
That assumes the shocks and hardware are correct for the kit and in serviceable condition. If a previous owner changed the shocks or removed parts, check what is actually on the machine before ordering.
RZR S 900, RZR S 1000, and General non-XP: spacers included
These applications can need front spring spacers to convert the compatible front shocks to a dual-spring arrangement. We supply the needed spacers with the applicable front upgrade at no extra charge. It is one less item to track down before getting your machine ready to ride.
Match the kit to your model and installed shocks. For example, our RZR S 900 two-seat kit for Walker Evans shocks requires reservoir-equipped Walker Evans shocks. A similar model name alone does not confirm fitment.
Also check which package you select. A rear-only order is not a front conversion package.
2017 RZR XP 1000: choose the Level Up kit
The factory progressive-rate front spring arrangement on this application does not have the same components as a front dual-spring setup. Installing front tender springs requires the matching lower springs and dividers, which is why we recommend the All Thingz UTV Level Up kit.
The full Level Up package described here includes:
- Four front springs: two front lower springs and two front tender springs
- Two front spring dividers
- Two rear tender springs
That is six springs and two dividers in total. The front components provide the paired spring arrangement; the rear tender springs complete the full package.
Our two-seat RZR XP 1000 Level Up listing offers full and partial packages. Select the full kit for the contents above, and confirm the listing matches your seat count and installed shocks. Partial packages contain fewer components.
Check the kit before taking your shocks apart
Confirm your model year, full model name, seat count, shock brand and model, and any suspension changes. Compare your selected package with the work you plan to do, then lay out the supplied parts before disassembly.
Having the correct springs and hardware is separate from having the tools and instructions for installation. Coil springs store energy. Use the procedure and suitable equipment for your exact shock and kit, or have a qualified suspension technician perform the work.
Our spring kit preparation and setup guide covers the checks to make before installation.
